Setting Take Profit (TP) Orders

Take Profit orders allow you to automatically sell your position when it reaches a target price. Here's how to set them up:

Step 1: Place a Buy Order

  1. Navigate to the market you want to trade
  2. Select "Buy" as your order side
  3. Choose your outcome (YES or NO)
  4. Enter the number of shares you want to buy
  5. Set your order type (Market or Limit) and price if using Limit orders

Step 2: Set Your Take Profit Price

  1. In the trading interface, expand the "Take Profit" section (click on the details element)
  2. Enter your desired Take Profit price in cents (e.g., 50 for 50ยข)
  3. The TP price should be higher than your entry price for buy orders
  4. For example, if you buy at 40ยข, you might set TP at 50ยข to lock in a 25% profit

Tip: The Take Profit order will automatically execute when your buy order is filled and the market price reaches your TP price. The TP order is pre-signed and stored, then submitted automatically when conditions are met.

Step 3: Place Your Order

  1. Click the "Buy [Outcome]" button to place your order
  2. Your buy order will be placed first
  3. The Take Profit order will be pre-signed and stored
  4. Once your buy order is filled, the TP order will be automatically submitted
  5. You'll receive notifications when your buy order fills and when your TP order executes

How TP Orders Work:

  • TP orders are pre-signed when you place your buy order
  • They are stored securely and submitted automatically when your buy order fills
  • TP orders are reduce-only, meaning they can only close your position, never flip it
  • You'll receive a "Take Profit Set" notification when the TP is configured
  • You'll receive a "Take Profit Hit" notification when the TP order executes
